YES! We are still on!!!
Been a while since we last posted, but we are NOT giving up!!!
We all had a lot of stuff going on... and that forced us to delay our production a little...
Well... maybe not that LITTLE, but I'm pretty sure you understand, right? (After all, who's reading this? ;D )
Anyways, I bit more than I could chew (as usual) and that got me under-hyped to actually DO what I wanted to do. That and I had e real shitload of stuff going on at the same time! But now, some of that stuff is gone, and I got re-hyped! :D YEY!
Thanks are in order for the hype part, and the friend I need to thank knows I'm talking 'bout them, so no names needed!
:3 Thanx a LOT! :D
Also, I saw some AWESOME work being posted and that stimulated me to show the world that THIS BLOG IS NOT GONNA DIE!!!
IT. IS. NOT!!!
So, I post with a lot of stuff reduced and cut out, so that I could ACTUALLY finish the job! There are a lot of items in my list that I simply didn't do, because it would be time-consuming and discouraging, so I decided to only draw the ones I wanted to draw and ended up really happy with the results!
:D (one of them is in there just as a joke ;D)
According to the rules, Ishihira's the next to challenge us, so I'll see you when he does!
:D
We're back!

Better late than never?
Hello everybody!
I had some issues with blogger not letting me post and then I went on a trip and couldn't really look into it, but now that I'm back I discovered that it is a safari problem, so I changed browsers and here I am.
I don't know if the others are having the same issue so I just thought I'd post it here to let everyone know.
So without any more delay, here is my entry to quest002:
Featuring Journey's Scarf, Bastion's drinks, Spirit Stones from Zelda Ocarina of Time , Fat Princess' Cake and Portal's Companion Cube.

NEWS FLASH!
BREAKING NEWS, guys!
We are changing the date! :P
I sort of forgot about CARNAVAL and set the date not thinking that we all would be partying and dancing and wearing our beautiful costumes (or not) for the past days, so...
QUEST002 will be postponed to next Wednesday, the 25th!
Sorry about that, folks! :D

Walkr galaxy adventure in your pocket
This is a game I've been playing for some time now and the art is really lovely and fitting to the quest002, which is why I'm sharing this game here.
Walkr is more of a gamefication app for fitness rather than a game itself, but as I've been playing it without really exercising I can't say much about it...
The main objective of the game is to explore the universe and discover new planets, you are able to do so by collecting food produced by your DFRs (Dynamic Food Replicator), feeding the planets you already discovered in exchange for goods, and with the products you gain money to finance your explorations.
When you walk with Walkr active on your cellphone, you gather energy that you can use to accelerate all timers inside the game.
The art is constructed using vectors without contouring, bright colours and a funny design to the alien creatures and planets. I recommend watching the intro video.

Second Quest!
Hello there, Players! :D
Sorry I'm late with the challenging! The good side of that is that we ended up having some extra time to have more posts on the First Quest! :D
Success!
For our Second Quest, I would like to get to know you guys even better! So how about we talk about our favorites a little?
The challenge is to draw some of your favorite ITEMS from some of your favorite GAMES! Right? Not gonna come up with a lot of numbers as I thought, 'cuz it doesn't feel right to say "Gimme 20 drawings from five games!" or anything like that... Some of us might not even have that many favorites anyways!!!
But I will specify it a little bit more:
- Draw ITEMS from GAMES (if you like the games they are from, even better! If you like the items themselves, inside the games, even better-er! :D)
- No limit to how many, nor how big. But I think it would be pretty cool if all the images looked a little alike, so: Place them as you wish in a 1024x768 artboard/canvas.
- Make them vectorial, for us to better understand the items! I think FLAT ILLUSTRATION (see below) would be a fun challenge! :D
Deadline will be Wednesday, February 18th! (I would like to try and maintain Wednesdays as a regular deadline! What do you guys think?)
Whoever posts first, gets the privilege of challenging us all next! (except me and Lids! :3)
Since I'm not even sure if I'm using "Flat Illustration" with the right meaning, I'm gonna post some references of what I have in mind!
Have fun! :D

(This is a really flat one! Not many details and effects. Clean, clear and quite geometrical!)
(This guy made some illustrations pretty close to the challenge, actually! :P)
(This is where I got the idea from - I think.... I saw this a long time ago and found it again today! :D - He uses A LOT of effects and shades and glows and stuff... No need for that, But if it is what you want, go for it!!!)
Anything among those exemples should work JUST as inspiration! They are there simply to try and make myself clear, okay? No need to MASTER the technique of any of those artists!!!

Pixel Art ID
So, yeah. Late but done.
Wish I thought about how to animate it. My goal was the same as Fabio, and for that i kinda used one of Witchmarsh's sprites for inspiration and trying to emulate the artist's style (YES I COPIED >:D). Not only that, For the close up face I went for another artist for inspiration: Vixel (www.vixels.net).
I don't know what to think of the results, but sure, it was fun. Now maybe I should try animating it or maybe just putting some facial hair/glasses. hahaha. ;)
Cesco's out.
Lids
Ops, got distracted and it is past midnight already!
well, here it goes, this is the original size:
here it is 200% (with nearest neighbour to keep it pixelated):
and the last one with 400%

Hello, folks! :D
I made it! :3 yeeeeeey!
I'm not entirely satisfied with the results... :/
The idea was to do something that really looked like it would fit right into the WITCH MARSH...
Anywayas... I had a pretty nice idea of animation and all, but since it took me too long to be able to define the design of my character, I ended up without enough time for that...
Stil, managed to do what I wanted most: TRANSFORM INTO A POLAR BEAR! :D
I'm happier with the polar bear then with the person, but I strongly feel like both represent me! :3 (cheater, I know...)
Well, here it is! :D
Will wait a little longer to post the next challenge, so then everyone posts the results before we move on! (but won't wait too long, otherwise, the blog gets weak - it feeds on posts...)

Elegy for a Dead World
Was watching game related videos on youtube and met "Elegy for a Dead World"
The game made by Dejobaan, seems more of an interactive experience rather than a classical game with objectives, enemies and so on. It has an interesting goal of creating stories and sharing it with the world. I haven't played it yet, but I am looking forward to try it out.
In the game you are sent off to different planets where you find remains of the lost habitants and their culture, you are then asked to report your findings and you can write whatever you like. You choose what people back on earth will know about those worlds.
The premise seems very interesting, but what really caught my attention was the art, so I thought I should share it here. The game has stunningly beautiful landscapes and environments. I leave below some of the art from the game.
For anybody who wants to know more about it:
